Church Street Marketplace is the heart and soul of Burlington and regularly voted one of the best town centers in America. It's a carless brick street full of shops restaurants, bars and nightlife. If you want it, you can find it there.
Burlington has one of the most scenic waterfronts in the country. Earnest Hemingway is famed to say it's the second best sunset in the world. Simply taking a walk along the waterfront boardwalk is wonderful and there are a handful of fun restaurant/bars to enjoy, Especially Spot on the Dock for food and drinks and The Skinny Pancake for breakfast.
Take a drive and enjoy Stowe, Vermont, one of the most iconic Vermont towns. It is a 45 minute drive which in itself will offer some amazing leaf peeping. Some of the best restaurants reside here and a definite highlight would be venturing to Stowe Mountain resort and taking a gondola ride to the top of Mount Mansfield, the tallest mountain in Vermont.
Take a tour of the famed Ben and Jerry's factory. Super fun and you obviously get ice cream at the end! My favorite is the Flavor Graveyard, where you can visit your favorite discontinued flavors.
This is the spot for all the Vermont goods you desire. Another scenic drive! The absolute highlight is apple cider straight from the press for FREE and fresh cider donuts! A great, local sandwich shop shares the parking lot here for a nice lunch.
