Believe it or not, they're all important parts of our love story. December 7, 2019 started our story together. We met on Hinge (a dating app, in case y'all hadn't heard) and the world's best blind date ensued. Eclectic drinks, Christmas kitsch, and great conversation made a stellar first date. A couple months into the pandemic, after seeing how Eric loved Hagrid, her dog, Elyse knew Eric was the one for her. She told Eric "I love you" and Eric, knowing that she did, simply said "I know," Han Solo style. Don't worry. He had other thoughts to share. Fast forward to March 2021, the PLAGUE is still ON, Eric and Elyse just returned from floating with manatees in Northern Florida. Eric had been acting mighty sketchy since the family vacation. but was able to wrangle a couple of vaccine appointments for the both of them and on March 19th, to celebrate the first shots, he talked Elyse into dining out for oysters and cocktails. Little did she know, he'd been smuggling a stunning rock for her with a plan to surprise her on bended knee and outstreched hand and the question: "Will you be my wife?" She said yes and here we are. We, like y'all, are feeling a little cooped up and deprived of good cheer, good food, and good company. Community and celebrating the good things in life have been missing from our lives in many ways. Let's change that! We can't wait to celebrate our marriage with you!
