We appreciate all who are traveling near and far to celebrate our marriage! Below are some tips for our out-of-country guests who have never been to Canada along with accommodations for those wishing to stay nearby and party all night long, worry-free!
For those flying from outside of Canada, the closest airport to fly into will be Toronto-Pearson International (YYZ). Billy Bishop (YTZ) is a small airport as well with limited flights from Newark (for our NYC family). Another option is flying into Toronto-Hamilton International (YHM). YHM is about an hour away whereas YYZ and YTZ are about 30 minutes away (with traffic). When you present your passport to Border Patrol, make sure you mention you will be visiting Vaughan for a wedding and you should not have any trouble.
For those driving into Canada, have your passports ready and tell the agents that you are entering/visiting Vaughan for a wedding and they should not give you trouble. Tip: please allot around an hour at the border when entering by car. It doesn't always take that long, but we wanted to give you a heads up :)
For both options: Make sure you have the invitation as well just in case an agent asks for it! They usually don’t, but it doesn’t hurt to have ☺️
Located 6 minutes from our venue. We do not have a block reserved here, but we were told that if you are a Marriott Bonvoy member, your points will apply ☺️
This hotel is a sister hotel to Aloft so your Marriott Bonvoy points apply here as well! We were unable to get a block at this hotel but they did have rooms available :)
