Q + A

RSVP and Invites

Where do I RSVP?

On the invite there is a QR code you can scan that will take you to our website. Type in your name, and confirm you (and family) are attending.

When should I RSVP?

Please RSVP by August 8th, 2026. This will help us finalize all the details and ensure everyone has an amazing experience on our special day. We kindly ask that you respond by this date so we can plan accordingly.

What should I do if I can't make it?

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no", so we can plan accordingly.

Are children invited?

We would love to celebrate with your little ones as well! Your invite will clarify who is invited, if "and family" is listed on your invite, please know that this includes children.

Can I bring a +1?

Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate those formally invited. If you received a plus one, it will be addressed on your invitation and RSVP section of the website.

Wedding Ceremony & Reception

Is there a dress code?

Our dress code is "Dressy Casual." Meaning jeans are acceptable, but choose your "nicer" jeans with a dress shirt/blouse. It is similar to Semi-Formal Attire. If you're unsure - it's always better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed! Wear whatever color you would like, but please no white. (Please note that the bridesmaids will be wearing Dusty Rose and the groomsmen will be wearing tan dress shirts.)

What are the addresses to the ceremony and reception?

The address to the ceremony is; Redeemer Lutheran Church 1410 W Boston Ave, Indianola, IA 50125 The address to the reception is; Warren County Fairgrounds 4H Building 1400 W 2nd Ave, Indianola, IA 50125

Will the wedding be inside or outside?

Both the ceremony and reception will be held inside. At the reception there is a playground for kids to play on outside and there will be yard games laid out as well. Typically the temperature during September in Iowa is between 71-77 degrees.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Yes, there will be a slight time gap between our ceremony and cocktail hour. Our ceremony will start at 3:00 and be over close to 3:30. Cocktail hour will begin at 4:00 at the venue, the wedding party will arrive at the venue around 5:15.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive at the church by 2:30pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00pm.

Can I park overnight?

Yes, overnight parking is allowed! We understand the importance of ensuring everyone gets home safely. Guests can leave their vehicles overnight and pick them up the following day. Please be aware that where our venue is located, there is a very limited amount of Ubers and Lyft, so please plan accordingly.

Food & Drink

What type of food will be served at the wedding?

During cocktail hour we will have chex-mix and other snack available for guests. For dinner we will have pulled pork, cheesy potatoes, corn, and salad. For dessert we will have cupcakes.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! There will be an open bar at our wedding. We will have 2 kinds of beer, Busch Light and Coors Light and 2 kinds of seltzers, White Claws and Carbliss. At the bar we will have signature cocktails, Rum and Coke or Vodka and lemonade or cranberry juice.

Traveling

Where should I stay?

Please refer to the "traveling" tab on our website, there you will find multiple options for places to stay.

Could you suggest places to eat and drink while I'm in town for your wedding?

If you are traveling for our wedding some great places to try in Indianola for a bite to eat are Crouse Cafe, which both Cole and I love! Brickhouse and Winns are also really great. For a drink, we recommend the Hide Out or Mojos. All are found on the square in Indianola.
