Bryce and Emery met at the mall on November 7th, 2019. Emery was working her usual seasonal shift at Hickory Farms when this tall glass of water slid by and declined a sample but instead asked for her number. They continued their life getting to know one another bit by bit before drifting; busy lives and a creeping pandemic to blame.

The ashes kicked up when Bryce reached out to Emery in July 2020. They went to the Redwood Drive-in… though most of their time was spent conversing under the stars while repeatedly hooking up jumper cables to the ‘94 Nissan Maxima that peddled them there.

By September of the same year, after spending some time camping the two did not want their time together to end. After separating from the group, they tried (and horrendously failed) hiking Grandeur Peak before finding the tires rolling their way back toward the drive-in; on the way, Emery happily exclaimed how she “loved the S-10 and the owner driving it.” Albeit cheesier than a C’s, it was the first ‘I love you’ of many to come.

The newly official couple continued to travel together or with loved ones any chance they got. A few to name over their 4 years together would be driving to Missouri, flying to Seattle, and a Cruise through the Mexican Riviera. Emery did not hesitate to drag Bryce to every Thrift store and Convention she could find, in turn, the times she spent on stage at Church Basketball were enough to make it even.
