People say you cant find love in Denver but on a cold night during the XX concert I found you. I still remember how big my smile was the night after hanging out with you for the first time. Life has never been the same since. Despite states and oceans between us, and a million reasons why we should have never crossed paths. We did and we were meant to be, this is the one thing in this world that Im sure of. You are my best friend, my soul mate and the confidant. You have shown me what its like to be loved unconditionally. You challenge me to want to be a better person who is less critical of myself and I strive to be the dog parent you are even though we all know Rocko loves you more.
I’ve written these vows as a promise to give you my word. I vow my loyalty to you will never change. I vow to always order the dessert even when you say you don’t want it…always hoping that it’s as good as the penna cota we had in Venice. I vow that I will always find home in your arms.I vow that I will always dress up at costume parties and peer pressure you to do the same. I vow to keep focused on our future and not the past. I vow to always be your dance partner for the first time as your wife tonight and for the last time when we are old and gray. I love you Corey to the very end…….
I wanted to end these vows with a quote from Leo Christopher, “I find the most beautiful moments in life aren’t just with you, they happen because of you. You make me question if I have been in love before, not that no one had loved me just not like this, nowhere near how you do. I won’t ask you where you’ve been all my life because I know you have always been coming. Always drawing closer to this connection that was meant to be. I can’t be your happiness but I can take your hand so we can find it together. You are all I want and all I ever need. I swear I could never love you more than I do right now yet I know I will tomorrow. There is a madness in loving you. A lack of reason that makes it feel so flawless. There’s no one that could ever compare to you. So never doubt and never wonder because it has always been you even before I knew you it has always been you.”
