Positano, the most famous and picturesque village of the Amalfi Coast, is located about 35 minutes by car from the villa. Positano is known for its shopping, beaches, and colorful scenery.
Sorrento is about a 20-25 minute drive from the villa, and it is best known for its stunning views of the Bay of Naples and its production of limoncello (yum!). Sorrento is great for wandering piazzas (squares), trying new restaurants, and boat tours of Amalfi.
Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods) is a hiking trail that is 45 minutes from the villa. This hike is 4.35 miles in length and considered a moderate hike with some difficult, rocky terrain. It begins in Bomerano, a village in Agerola, and finishes in Nocelle, a small village in Positano.
Legend says that the gods created this trail by cutting a trench into the earth when they descended from heaven to save Ulysses from mermaids.
Make sure you bring good hiking shoes, sunglasses, and sunscreen if you plan to complete this hike!
The ever-famous Pompeii, preserved by an eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the year 79 CE, is only an hour away by car from the villa. Guests can visit the UNESCO World Heritage site and see the ancient city.
Additionally, a tour of Mount Vesuvius can be arranged through companies like Viator and GetYourGuide.
