Michael and Emilee met in 2013 when Emilee moved back to Colorado and attended Twin Peaks for high school. While they didn't start dating until 2017, Emilee and Michael were friends previously in high school. They went their separate ways for college (Emilee stayed in Colorado and attended CSU while Michael moved to Oregon and attended OSU). They reconnected in 2017 after bonding over how adorable Michael’s new kitten was. They shared a love for animals and recently adopted their very own kitten named Poppy. From that point on, Michael and Emilee’s friendship grew, they became inseparable, and eventually became more than friends. One of their first dates was at the Clifford Still Museum + dinner in Denver. Since they started dating, Emilee and Michael have enjoyed their time going to Avalanche, Nuggets or Rockies games, hiking or snowshoeing, playing pickleball, exploring new breweries/restaurants, and frequently visiting Washington state where part of Michael's family lives. On March 23rd, 2024 Michael planned a weekend getaway near Red Feather Lakes and proposed on the porch with a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains.
