Through mutual friends, which was always the way I wanted to meet my life partner. My old roommate Emily and I (Jessie was sick) attended her friend Reese's birthday party next door to our apartment, and Josh was there (as he should have been; he and Reese have been best friends since they were 10). I introduced myself to Josh, and when he told me his name, I said, "Wow, you have a low voice." He replied with a simple, "Thank you," and that was the end of it. Emily saw the whole thing and was talking him up to me for *weeks* afterward. I was actually seeing someone else at the time, and wasn't interested in dating anyone else. That is, until my sister pointed out that I always wanted to meet my partner organically. So I let Emily set us up after Josh showed up at my apartment's Super Bowl party. We went on our first date, and I ended things with the guy I was seeing the very next night. Josh was it for me.

I've said this since the moment I started getting to know him: Josh's kindness is unmatched and so vividly a part of him. Everyone around him had incredible things to say about him-- things I noticed whenever I was with him, too #greenflag. He is servant-hearted and generous, kind and intelligent, and he challenges me to be the best version of myself.

Emilie is unashamed to be exactly who she is. Her boldness inspires me to stand up for myself and others, just like she does. She is everyone's biggest fan, and if you get to know her, Emilie's love for you will have no limits.

We are requesting that guests don a dressy outfit for the day of! Slacks and a sports coat, dress or pantsuit, etc. No jeans or shorts. By all means, if you have cowboy boots, wear 'em!
