How It All Began

Our journey starts in 2016 when Emilie moved from Merritt Island, Florida, to Utah. Meanwhile, Nick was a Northern Utah native, having lived there since he was born in 1997. The two of us first crossed paths thanks to Nick’s younger sister, Lexie. Lexie and Emilie met during their freshman year of high school and quickly became best friends. Naturally, Emilie started spending more time with the Nord family and soon became a beloved regular in their household.

Fast Forward to 2021

As high school ended for Emilie in 2020 and the world faced the challenges of COVID-19, Emilie and Nick’s paths crossed once again in a new setting. In August 2021, Emilie began working at the Nord family business, Advanced Care Home Medical. They were both working in the same office, and the friendship we had developed through Lexie’s connection now had a chance to deepen. The natural chemistry was undeniable, and it wasn’t long before Emilie decided to make her move.

The First Move

After waiting patiently for Nick to make the first move, Emilie took matters into her own hands. She liked a story Nick posted on Instagram featuring his cat, Simba. This was the perfect icebreaker. Nick seized the opportunity to start a more flirtatious conversation. A few short messages later, Nick asked Emilie on their first date to Jinya Ramen Bar after work the next day.

The First Date

They tried to keep their date a secret, but our excitement was hard to hide. Their first date was nothing short of magical. From that evening on, they knew they had found something special in each other. Their friendship quickly blossomed into a beautiful relationship, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

Life Together

Over the past two years (plus some change), their lives have been filled with laughter, adventures, and a few furry friends. Nick’s dog Bolt and cat Simba were welcomed into the family by Emilie’s cat Loki, and together, they adopted the craziest orange cat on the planet, Tigger. Their household is lively and full of love, just like their relationship.

Adventures Ahead

The two have begun exploring the world together and take every chance they get to travel. The next big adventure is on the horizon as they plan to move to the Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL area this September. They are excited for this new chapter and all the memories that they will create in their new home.

A Love That Lasts

Through every challenge life throws their way, they face it together with joy and resilience. Their story is one of friendship, love, and endless adventures. Those who know Emilie and Nick can attest that life is never dull when they are around. They can’t wait to see what the future holds and to share their love and happiness with all of you!
