It is possible to sail from the UK to France with Brittany Ferries' by taking the ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo.

Portsmouth is the closest cross-Channel ferry port to London, just a two hour drive away. It is easy to reach with motorway links to the M27 providing fast access to the Midlands and across the South.

Sailings operate most days from Portsmouth to St Malo, taking both passengers and cars and offering a range of cabin options.

There are overnight sailings most days throughout the year and overnight crossings take approximately 11 hours.

Upon arrival at St Malo, it is approximately 1 hour 30 minute drive to Chateau du Val.

2. Poole to St Malo via the ferry:

It is possible to sail from Poole to St Malo with Condor Ferries.

The ferry crossing time from Poole to St Malo is approximately 6 hours 20 minutes.

Upon arrival at St Malo, it is approximately 1 hour 30 minute drive to Chateau du Val.

3. Cork to Roscoff via the ferry:

It is possible to sail from Ireland to France with Brittany Ferries' on the Cork to Roscoff ferry route. There are two sailings a week.

Overnight sailings from Cork do have an option to sail on a Wednesday to arrive on Thursday morning. The sailings take approximately 14 to 15 hours.

Upon arrival at Roscoff, it is approximately 2 hour 50 minute drive to Chateau du Val.

4. Rosslare to Cherbourg via the ferry:

It is possible to sail from Ireland to France with Brittany Ferries' on the Rosslare to Cherbourg ferry route.

Overnight sailings are available every Monday evening from Rosslare to Cherbourg. Set sail at 18:30 from Rosslare and arrive in Cherbourg at midday on Tuesday afternoon.

Return sailings to Rosslare set sail from Cherbourg on Tuesday afternoons to arrive in Rosslare early in the morning.

Upon arrival at Cherbourg, it is approximately 2 hour 50 minute drive to Chateau du Val.
