Great question! We would be honored to see and celebrate with your kids (11 and under) at the reception, but we ask that our wedding ceremony be child-free.

Our guests get free access to the state park during the wedding event. Once you drive through the main entrance, you will find a gate house with an attendant. Tell them you are with the Allen/Murray wedding and they will let you through. Follow signs to Atalaya and the parking lot will be on your left!

Yes!! Atalaya Castle has a private beach access straight out from the venue. During cocktail hour or the reception we invite you to stick your toes in the sand at your own comfort! We ask you do not bring your drink as SC law prohibits alcohol on the beach.

Please arrive 30-45 minutes prior to the ceremony so you can get seated comfortably and we can start our fun night on time! The Castle will still be open to the public, but feel free to look around before you sit. The ceremony will begin right at 5:00.

As excited as we are to celebrate with you, we will be moving the party to another location at 10pm. Last call is at 9pm.

As we get closer we will hopefully have a better idea of what the weather will be, but beaches in May can be unpredictable. Plan for it being a cooler evening with the chance of a shower at any time.

Our attire will be semi-formal. As we put it, look in your closet and whatever makes you feel comfortable and radiant, wear it! Items like dresses, formal rompers or jumpsuits, nice dress pants and button down with suit jacket. Please be mindful that the venue is mainly uneven surfaces/grass/sand so choose shoes carefully!
