We met December 22, 2013. We were both attending a Christmas Eve service at the church I had been frequenting for a few years. I knew who Kyser was because he went to school with my brother. We saw each other from across the room and at the the end of the service he approached me to say hi. About a week and a half later we went on our first date to Yosemite. And the rest is history!

Bryan, Emily's Dad, and I went golfing in Sun City West, AZ.Little did he know I had the ring in my golf bag the whole time. As each hole went by I debated when to ask him. Finally after hole 5 we had a little break in the cart. I asked Bryan if I had permission to marry his daughter. He said of course and gave me a hug. The rest of the day we were both all smiles. He called Terry a few holes later because he was so excited.

I woke up at 6am. I didn't plan to propose on this day, but I was so excited and ready to be engaged! I grabbed the ring and all my camera gear and headed out to Lake Pleasant, AZ. This was the outdoor area Emily and I went to when we first visited Arizona. When I got to the lake I set up my cameras in different areas and spelled out the words "Marry Me" with rocks on the ground. I then talked to Emily on the phone and told her to come to my location which I texted her. I sat and waited anxiously not knowing what to say or do! I debated on playing music in the background or hanging out a little bit before proposing. Finally she arrived! What Now!? She walked out of the car and met me on a path overlooking the whole lake. Then… I proposed. She instantly hid her face and said YES! It was the most exciting moment of our relationship together. We then took pictures for the next hour or so and headed back home… in separate cars… When we got home we face timed and called all of our close friends and family before posting the good news online! Everything turned out amazing.
