What airport should I fly into?

Florence Airport (FLR) is the closest at about a 1.5 hour drive to the Villa. Rome Airport (FCO) is about a 2.5 hour drive to the Villa. FCO typically has more flight options and more affordable prices. Malpensa Airport (MXP) in Milan also has a variety of flight options, but it is a 4.5 hour drive to the Villa.

Passports?

If you do not have a passport or need to get yours renewed, the earlier the better. There have been processing delays, so we encourage you to take action as soon as possible. Italy requires your passport to be valid for at least six months when you enter the country, so please make sure to renew your passport if it will expire in April 2025 or earlier. We also recommend keeping your passport in a safe place until the wedding (it really is your most valuable item for the trip; yes, even more than your wedding outfit!).

Should I rent a car?

Yes! Villa Boscarello is located in the beautiful Tuscan Countryside, where a car is needed to get around.

Should I use the train system in Italy?

Yes! Italy's train system is a great way to get around. There are many routes between major cities as well as smaller towns such as Siena and Montepulciano. The best place to purchase train tickets is here: https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html. While it is typically not a problem to book a train ticket last minute, it is a good idea to book your tickets in advance if you can.

What is the dress code for the ceremony and reception?

The dress code is formal attire. It will (hopefully!) be around 70 degrees during the ceremony, with the temp going down during dinner and the reception. We recommend bringing a light jacket for the evening!

Can I bring a plus-one or my kids?

While we would love to have everyone be a part of the celebrations, we are very restricted with the number of guests we may have. With that, only those named on the invitation should attend.

Where should I visit in Italy before or after the wedding celebrations?

There are so many options! If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, the Amalfi Coast or Lake Como are great options. If you are wanting to site see, Rome or Florence are your way to go. You could also stay in Tuscany and enjoy the peacefulness of the vast countryside. Don't forget about Sicily (Taormina is highly recommended!), Milan, Venice, and more!
