Macey and I have been best friends since we were young. While attending the same church but different schools our whole childhood, we maintained our friendship throughout the years and I can't imagine my life without her! She's my best friend and I am beyond thankful for her! She's my voice of reason and the girl I know I can always count on. I stood by her side at her wedding, and now she can stand by me in mine!

Macey Schmutzler

Sam and I have been friends since we met in fifth grade through football and band. While he quit band and I quit football, we have remained great friends. We have always been around each other, even to the point in which he followed me to Michigan State (Go Green!) for undergrad. He is a true friend that I am honored to stand by my side.

Sam Jakubowski

Katie is my oldest sister and one of my biggest role models. While being 12 year apart, she always made me feel important and special my entire life. She has taught me to be kind and have a compassionate heart towards others no matter what. She always encourages me in my running journey, and I know I can always count on her to be supportive of me as we share this hobby! She is also a wonderful mom to my sweet nieces and nephew. I can't imagine her not being by my side on my special day!

Mateo (or as he may prefer, Teo) and I first met in the summer before freshman year of high school. I knew we would be great friends when we shared the same interest in taking gym class in the summer due to our shared problem of profuse perspiration. Mateo has been an amazing friend and I am honored to have him stand by me.

Megan is my older sister who has always encouraged me to pursue my dreams and strive for my goals. She is an inspiration to me with her hard work and dedication, along with being a great mom to two of my sweet nephews. We share the love of decorating and making spaces cozy and aesthetic. I can't wait to have her by my side on our wedding day and share this memory together!

Tyler and I first met in fifth grade and have since grown to be very good friends. I always viewed Tyler as "small" and "little" but as he grew older (and taller than me), so did our friendship. Tyler has remained one of my good friends and I am happy to have him stand by me on our wedding day.

Alisha is my sister-in-law and I absolutely love having her as another sister. From our sleepovers when she would visit GR, to standing beside her in her wedding, I am so glad I gained another sister who is such a joy to be around. She is an awesome mom to two of my sweet nieces and I love that she can be apart of our special day!

Jared and I have been close friends since kindergarten. We did nearly everything together including sports, Young Life, and growing up alongside one another. We have been there for each other no matter the circumstance and I am honored that this situation is no different. I am excited for Jared to join me on our wedding day.

Robyn and I met in college at Grand Valley at the Central Housing Office my sophomore year. She was the sweetest mentor to me and took me under her wing. From then on, we have stayed great friends and celebrated so many fun stages of out lives together. I always know I can count on her to be a sincere and genuine friend. I can't wait to have her by my side on our wedding day!

Garrett and I lived together during our senior year of undergrad at Michigan State. I did not know Garrett prior to this, and the first exposure I had with him was over Zoom while he was wearing a full suit to meet us all for the first time. From this moment on, Garrett quickly evolved into an amazing friend and someone I can always count on. I am honored to have Garrett be a part of this special day.

Katelyn and I have been friends since freshman year of college. We were roommates for 2 years and she has always been a wonderful companion in our friendship. Her genuine thoughtfulness and true kindness has been a blessing in my life with our friendship. We share a love of cats and I love having her as a dear friend. I can't wait to have her by my side on our wedding day!

Jeff is Emily's only brother. Since Emily and I began dating in 2016, Jeff has been inviting and welcoming to me. Jeff has been a good friend to me since the beginning and I am honored to have him become my future brother-in-law.

Delaney and I met in college at Grand Valley my sophomore year. We were roommates for 2 years and I couldn't be more thankful for that opportunity. She has always been so invested in my life and one of my biggest supporters with all the events in my life. She can always make me feel better no matter what! She's by far one of the smartest people I know and I am honored to have her by my side on our wedding day!

AJ is Emily's eldest brother-in-law and a fellow Spartan fan. AJ has always been courteous and friendly to me; characteristics one would hope for in a future co-bro. I am honored to have a man like AJ be family and stand by my side.

Miah and I have been friends since middle school. We have always gotten along throughout the years and became roommates our junior year of college until we graduated together! She has always been so invested in my life and is always there to talk and be encouraging! She provides essential optimism into my life, and I am so happy to have her by my side on our wedding day!

Sam is Emily's youngest brother-in-law and the second of future co-bros. Sam has been nothing but genuine to me and has been helpful in all circumstances. I am thankful and grateful to have Sam stand by my side on our wedding day.

Kyle and I met when he was a freshman in high school. When I first met Kyle, he came off as slightly awkward and strange. Some may still consider him as awkward and strange (or Rat King), but he has been nothing shy of a great friend and an honorable man. Kyle has been there for me and I am happy to have him by me on our wedding day.

Kyle Cochran 

Trenton is the younger brother of Garrett whom I met while living with Garrett. However, Trenton was never just "a friend's brother", but also became a genuinely great friend who is supportive, helpful, and someone I can rely on. Trenton has always been cheerful and helpful when necessary and is someone I am lucky to be a part of our wedding.

Ethan and I have been friends since second grade when we were in Boy Scouts together. As we progressed to both become Eagle Scouts, our friendship grew stronger and stronger. Even though Ethan went to Michigan Tech and I went to Michigan State, we always remained in contact with one another and reconnected whenever possible. I know Ethan would be there for me whenever I needed him to be and help whenever necessary. I am honored to have Ethan share our special day with us.

Elsa is my oldest niece and she made me an aunt at 17! I adore her to no end she is always bringing light to my life! She is a true joy to Mitchell & I's life and we can't wait to have her apart of our wedding!

Brooksy boy is the oldest of the nephews and such a sweetheart. He is cautious and aware, but also full of life and joy. He is by far the best little golfer I know and he is so fun to be around and chat with! We love him dearly and can't wait to have him in our wedding!

Amelia is one of my nieces and one of the cutest little girls you'll ever meet. She's full of life and she loves to be silly and dance! We love her dearly and are so excited to have her be apart of wedding!

Hampton Inn & Suites Grand Rapids Downtown

A limited amount of rooms are available at this hotel under our room block- "Bajema Lumsden Wedding". Once all of the rooms are booked, we cannot receive more. Cut-off Date is August 24th. If you have any additional questions, please reach out to Emily for assistance. This hotel was recently built and is quite new. It offers everything you need for your stay and is in a great and safe location near Alpine Ave. It is conveniently located right by the major highways to get to the Ceremony/Reception. Complimentary Breakfast &amp; Parking, Indoor Pool, and Fitness Center are available.

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Grand Rapids North

There is no room block available at this hotel, but it is centrally located in the heart of Downtown Grand Rapids. This hotel is very modern and unique, and it has great touches that will offer you an elevated stay. Easily accessible to the major highways that will take you to the Ceremony and Reception. Non-complimentary breakfast is available, fitness center, and Rooftop Cocktail Lounge on 8th Floor (Knoop). Reservations are required.

Canopy by Hilton Grand Rapids Downtown

This is the closest Airport to the Ceremony and Reception venues in Grand Rapids. The hotels listed are located within 15-25 minutes from the airport.
