We met in the fall of 2019 at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN. I was finishing my graduate program, and Erroll was in his second year of undergrad. We became close leading up to our Spring Break trip to Daytona Beach in March 2020, and after returning, our friendship grew even stronger during the pandemic. We spent the entire summer together, becoming nearly inseparable.

After I moved to Mt. Juliet to start my teaching career, and Erroll stayed at Tech, we kept up our weekend visits. Eventually, he moved back home, and we were able to spend every day together again. What began as a close friendship slowly turned into something more complicated—a situationship that everyone around us assumed was romantic. Eventually, we decided to take a step back and explore other possibilities, but that didn’t last long. We quickly found our way back to each other, sharing a pizza and finally confessing our true feelings.

Since December 2021, we’ve been inseparable, fully committed to each other and trying out this whole dating thing for real. In February 2022, Erroll finally asked me to be his girlfriend, and from there, our relationship only grew deeper.

Over the years, we’ve traveled together, explored new cities, and made countless memories. Then, in October 2024, we visited our best friend, Harrison, in Barcelona, Spain. On the second day of the trip, Erroll asked me to be his wife—and I said YES! We’re so excited to start this new chapter together and can’t wait to see what’s next in our journey of love and adventure.
