Emily and Payson's love story started during the crazy year of 2020, in the instagram DM's. From Payson's memory, he sent Emily the first DM. However, the real first message was sent by Emily, commenting on Payson's DIY weight set up during gym closures.

As schools were closed, Payson was home from his studies at BYU and Emily was home from KU. After some initial instagram conversation, both discovered they lived within 5 miles of each other. This led to notes being left in mailboxes and a first fine dining date of 7-eleven. With all other restaurants closed, Emily had no idea this would be the first and last time she would see health expert Payson drink an Icee.

Once campuses were open, Emily returned back to Kansas. This led to countless memories made in Lawrence and many hours logged on the road for the two to spend time together.

After graduating, Emily has moved to the beautiful mountains of Colorado. This has turned road trips, for the two to see each other, into plane rides. Both Emily and Payson are excited to start their lives together in Colorado once married and continue on with all the adventures that have already been made there.
