A beautiful and peaceful place to visit next to the Los Angeles Temple. The grounds are so pretty to walk around, and the Visitors’ Center is open to everyone. It’s a special place to me and a quiet, uplifting stop if you’re nearby.
Our favorite sushi spot!! We literally go here multiple times every time we’re in town. If you’re craving sushi, this is always our first choice.
Emily’s other favorite sushi spot. The flavors are AMAZING — it’s sushi with a Mexican twist and such a fun mix of bold flavors. Text me if you need recommendations on what rolls to order!
The best Mexican food. It’s a small local spot (not a chain), super authentic, and so, so good.
Emily’s favorite Italian restaurant. So good and such a solid dinner spot.
A local favorite breakfast spot in Newhall. Classic breakfast food, big portions, and so good if you’re in the mood for breakfast or brunch.
Such a fun place to walk around, shop, and grab food. Easy and fun for a casual day out.
Such a fun, historic theater. Emily loved coming here as a kid, and it still feels just as magical.
The best roller coasters ever. 1000× better than Lagoon.
The prettiest views of LA and the Hollywood sign, plus an amazing museum with planets, the solar system, and huge telescopes. It’s free to visit — you just have to pay for parking.
A classic tourist spot right on the beach. Fun to walk around, enjoy the views, and ride the attractions.
One of Emily’s favorite beach spots, especially for sunrise. The views are unreal and it’s such a peaceful, beautiful way to start the day.
Emily’s favorite beach. Beautiful, peaceful, and one of her happy places. Text me if you need help finding the specific spot.
Emily’s favorite hike — this is the Towsley Canyon Loop Trail (about a 5-mile loop). Such a good hike with great views. You can find it on AllTrails if you want the exact route.
A cute little nature center in Placerita Canyon with lots of trailheads. Emily’s favorite hike here is the Placerita Canyon and Waterfall Trail. It has beautiful canyon views and a seasonal waterfall (best after rain). There’s also a really cool movie set nearby called Golden Oak Ranch, and you might even catch a glimpse of it.
A really cool outdoor area with tons of trails and those iconic rock formations you’ve definitely seen in movies.
