FAQs

Are the ceremony and reception located at the same location?

Yes they are! Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Holman Ranch. 60 Holman Road Carmel Valley, CA 93924

What's the dress code for the Wedding?

Cocktail Attire. Please note that the venue is completely outdoors and it may get a little chilly at night. We will have heaters, but it doesn't hurt to have a jacket or shawl. Also, we recommend block heels instead of stiletto heels as the ceremony is located on a grassy, lawn area. Women: Cocktail dresses, suits, dressy jumpsuits, or floor length dresses are all perfectly acceptable! Men: Think afternoon suits in whatever color you prefer. Feel free to wear a tie or not!

What is the dress code for the Welcome Party?

Dressy Casual. Think an elevated backyard party. We truly don't mind what you wear as long as you're comfortable, but we know people always like ideas or examples. For women, you can wear jeans and a nice top, a jumpsuit, a dress. If you choose to wear heels, block heels or wedges are recommended as we will have games on the lawn. It may be a bit chilly, so bring a wrap or a jacket just in case (we will have heaters). For men, you can wear jeans and a button up or collared shirt, a sport coat, etc.

Will there be a place to park at the wedding?

Yes! Please park for the event by 3:30pm. Once you arrive at Holman Ranch, follow the signs to the large parking lot at the bottom of the hill. It is a long, steep walk from the parking lot to the ceremony/reception area. Golf carts will be used to shuttle guests up and down between the parking lot and the event throughout the night. **Please note that cars must be picked up by 8am the following morning or run the risk of being towed by Holman Ranch.**

Will there be transportation provided?

We will be providing transportation from the wedding to TBD drop-off locations from 8pm until the end of the evening. Drop-off locations will be determined as we continue to uncover where our guests plan to stay (so please feel free to let us know, so we can do our best to accommodate where you need to get home to!). Please note that we will not be providing transportation to the wedding venue as our guests are staying in many different locations and that would require significantly early pick up times. Ubers & Lyfts will be available along with on-site parking if you plan to drive. You may leave your car overnight, but it must be picked up no later than 8am or risk being towed by Holman Ranch.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Not a problem! Please let Emily or Michael know as soon as possible and we will do our best to ensure your needs are accommodated.

Will you be implementing any precautions for the Covid-19 pandemic?

Can we book a room at Holman Ranch?

No, unfortunately the ranch has very limited space and will only be enough to accommodate the wedding party as they are not a full service hotel. We have some wonderful options listed on our Accommodations & Travel tab!
