After meeting through mutual college friends at Chapman University, Nick asks Emily to go to his fraternity's "date party". Unknown to him until years later, Emily had planned to bail but thankfully for them both she changed her mind. And they took off from there!

A few months into their relationship, Emily and Nick's relationship had truly started to blossom. They were spending as much time as they could together; going on fun adventures, doing homework together at the campus Starbucks patio, or going out with friends on the weekends. One night at Nick's house, he knew this was something special and he said the first "I love you" and Emily reciprocated.

After graduating, Emily started her first big girl job as a news reporter in Medford, Oregon. While Nick was very proud of her, the move also meant a big shift and new obstacle in their relationship. Despite the adversity, they powered through and took every chance they had to go visit each other. Emily would come home for long weekends and Nick would fly up to Oregon to explore her new home with her (and bring some of her favorite foods from home as a surprise!).

Despite the long distance, Emily and Nick made it a point to come together every 2-3 weeks. Sometimes that included trips with friends to music festivals and Las Vegas, and other times it meant time at home with our families. Pictured here: our first time at Outside Lands!

After years of long distance, Emily moved back to California! This meant many more adventures, more time with each others' family's and settling in to more time together.

Their common passion for traveling and exploration has never faded. Emily and Nick continued to travel around the country, visiting many amazing destinations like Sedona, Maui, Nashville, Hilton Head, and New Orleans.

Nick started his new job at Dell! Emily moved in with her friend Luke in Anaheim. More serious talks about the future began...

After dating for many years, Emily and Nick took the next big step...moving in together! We moved to LA and settled in to life on the west side, spending time with LA friends and sharing a home.

After 7 years of dating, Nick finally popped the question and asked Emily to marry him! They got engaged on the Bir Hakeim Bridge overlooking the Eiffel Tower in Paris (one of Emily's top 3 favorite cities in the world).
