What to do in Hood River
We wanted everyone to get a taste of our lives in the PNW which is why we picked Hood River for our wedding. It's a premier destination for everything PNW: gorgeous mountain views, hoppy beer, and fresh wild seafood! We hope you take some time to explore the things that make us love it out here!
Hikes/Viewpoints:
Sherrard point:
Scott's favorite viewpoint in the Gorge. Panoramic views of all the Cascade Volcanoes between Scott and Emily!
Vista House at Crown Point:
Perched atop Crown Point, Vista House provides a panoramic view of the Columbia River Gorge. It's a great spot for photos and taking in the scenery.
Rowena Crest Viewpoint:
Highlights: This viewpoint offers stunning views of the Gorge and is particularly beautiful during sunrise and sunset. The winding road adds to the charm.
Beacon Rock State Park:
Hike up Beacon Rock for fantastic views of the Gorge. The trail is well-maintained and offers a unique perspective of the surrounding landscape.
Cape Horn Trailhead:
The Cape Horn Trail provides views of the Gorge, Beacon Rock, and scenic landscapes. It's a diverse trail with wooded areas and open cliffs.
Angel's Rest:
The summit of Angel's Rest offers panoramic views of the Gorge and surrounding mountains. It's a popular trail with a rewarding view at the top.
