Our families have known each other for quite some time since our younger brothers played little league football. Emily and Jake did not know each other well, except for when our families would get together. Then, one random evening in March of 2020, Jacob asked if Emily would go with him to get pizza. Emily did not think much of it and ended up getting pizza and going to the movies. A few days later, Jacob told Emily he had feelings for her, to which she responded by letting him down gently, saying he was too young, but if she was single in 4 years, they could talk. Well, that did not stop Jacob. He persued Emily, continued to bring her flowers, called, wrote letters, and asked her out about five times, to which she said no every time. Eventually, on June 11, 2021, Emily finally said yes, and the rest is history.
