On a chilly night in Boston, Emily and Mark arrived in the city for their first date. Mark was jittery with excitement but Emily was jittery with nerves. Emily timidly quipped, I hope we still like each other after this... as she knew that this could make for an awkward work environment should this date not go well. A confident Mark pulled out his best stories for the occasion. He didn't get Biggest Story Teller as his High School Superlative for nothing! By the end of the night, he had Emily wrapped around his little finger as they strolled through Boston Common arm in arm enjoying the brisk air and warmly lit street lamps that lined the pathways. Mark's stories and Emily's laughter echoed throughout the empty park.

Fast forward to March 2020 when Covid struck and schools closed down. Without work, the very new couple moved into Emily's new family farmhouse in NH. There they had a lot of free time as they honed in on their individual skills such as her watercoloring and annihilating his unlucky adversaries on Call of Duty. The couple spent 24/7 together and ultimately thrived together while filming a critically acclaimed nature documentary titled, Down Home with Mr. Ellis.

In the Spring of 2022, Mark planned an elaborate proposal on a sailboat in Newport Harbor. Emily said YES and the very next day they were back in New Hampshire surrounded by family as they celebrated their love at the very same location that their love story truly began.

Today, Mark and Emily work as Business Development Managers at a healthcare staffing agency and live in an adorable house in Franklin, Massachusetts with their kittens, Olive and Banksy. Mark and Emily are excited to share the joy and laughter that they have brought into each others lives with their friends and family when they celebrate their marriage on June 9th, 2023!
