Our story was almost one of a missed connection. It begins in late August of 2020. While in lonely isolation in the middle of the pandemic, Emily was scrolling on Hinge (an app 'meant to be deleted' which has since been deleted). When she discovered Les's profile, she was intrigued by a picture of him sweating under the stage lights, interested in this shared experience she reached out. Les quickly responded back, ready to engage in conversation! Then…

*crickets*

Three weeks had passed, and it seemed that that was it. Two people destined to drive off their own way. Then Emily turned the car around and drove back to revisit this dramatic man and continue the conversation she had almost abandoned entirely. The two texted frequently for days and then agreed to meet at Marlin's Brewhouse, some hole in the wall bar off the road. The pair quickly grew irritated with the loud live music so they decided to walk next door to the closed Dunkin’ and sat on the outdoor lawn furniture and talked for 3 hours back and forth about themselves, their world, and what they wanted out of it. This stargazing adventure is emblematic of how natural communication is the cornerstone of their relationship. The rest, as they say, is history.
