How it all started....

Emily was working at a gym, in 2018, when a friend of Emilys, Nina, tried to set up Emily on a date. Emily had been single for awhile, and she kept putting off meeting this guy, her friend thought was "perfect" for her. She was on a dating app, but thought nothing would come of it. Then here comes this guy, bright blue eyes, into the gym and he messages her. He doesn't say hello, doesn't introduce himself, just says "wow, you look active, what do you for fun?" "Way to really break the ice here buddy", Emily thought to herself. Their conversation went back and forth a few times when the guy says, "I'm never really on this app, if you want to just text me instead" As strong as Emily rolled her eyes to that statement and thought i'm sure he says that all the time, something told her to text him. So she did. They went back and forth for about two weeks, before meeting in person. One Saturday afternoon, he was in her town so they decided to meet. For whatever reason, Emily was so nervous, didn't know what to wear, so she threw on a hoodie, leggings and a baseball hat. keep in mind it is 80 degrees outside that day. She pulled into the parking lot, saw this huge truck and a guy standing outside and those baby blue eyes. Before getting out of the car, he leaned into her car and went to give her a kiss on the cheek, but Emily turned her face at the same time and boom, there's our first kiss. They stayed and talked for about a half hour before Emily had to go back to work. He was heading out to New Haven with friends that night, and he somehow convinced Emily to come meet him there.

With some convincing from her friends, they piled down to New Haven. He was texting that he was trying to get his friends to leave to meet her but they weren't ready, and just as Emily was about to leave, there those blue eyes were, in a baby blue shirt, walking into BAR as she was about to walk out. He hugged her, said hello to her friends and asked to buy her a drink. She said no that they were getting ready to leave, but he insisted. She stayed for a few more minutes and her friends had wanted to leave, so they headed out, and he said he would text her later. It was here, where she honestly did not think she would talk to him again, but he held up to his word and texted her the next day. He went on to text her at least each morning and each evening.

Emily could not stop thinking about him and wondering when she would see him again. When she went to work the following week, her friend had asked her again when she was going to meet the guy she wanted to set her up with. "ehhhh," Emily said, I kind of met this guy, but im not sure what's going to happen. She asked for his name, and then a picture. The guy Emily had matched with on Tinder, was the same guy she was trying to be set up with. Anthony.

When realizing they had a few mutual friends, and telling Anthony the story behind it, it felt like it was meant to be. Their first dinner date, Anthony picked Emily up. He INSISTED on coming inside to meet her parents before they went out, when Emily said it would be fine if they just left. He came inside, shook her fathers hand, and then gave her mom a kiss on the cheek and a hug. He sat for a few minutes before the headed out.

It's a date they still talk about to this day because his truck was a little too big and they almost got stuck in the parking garage. They ended the night with a few too many tequila shots but had a great time.

They had a few dinner dates, Sunday ice cream dates, and more, when Anthony invited Emily to his best friend Ronnies Birthday Party at the Casino one weekend. She was hesitant because they were not anything official yet, but she knew her friend from the gym was going so she decided to go. They had so much fun with all of their friends, and two days later, they made it official...

Throughout the years they have had plenty more dinner dates, traveled, made lots of memories, been each others gym partner, each others number one supporter, and now are starting a new chapter as husband and wife!
