Things to Do

Yellowstone National Park

United States
(307) 344-7381

This would be a great excuse to visit the park before/after our big day! Go see some elk, bison, antelope and geysers. Maybe even some wolves or a bear! The North Entrance to Yellowstone NP is 1.5 hours to the East of Bozeman and the West Entrance to the Park (best one to go see Old Faithful) is 2 hours to the South of Bozeman.

Website

Downtown Bozeman

Downtown Bozeman is vibrant and has a ton of good coffee shops, restaurants and shopping.

Some of our favorites are:

- The Western Cafe (breakfast with a local Montana feel)

-Cateye Cafe (breakfast)

-Copper Whiskey Bar and Grill

-Open Range (steak house that specializes in sourcing food locally. It's one of the more expensive options but, "you'll have one of the best steaks of your life," says Colter

-Zocalo (coffee shop)

- Wild Crumb Bakery (not downtown but close and one of the best bakeries ever!!)

-Fink's Delicatessen (it's connected to Wild Crumb and they use their baguettes. Yum!)

-The Pickle Barrel (This is a Bozeman institution located right across the street from MSU. Half of one of their subs is the size of an adult female's forearm!)

Breweries:

-Bridger Brewing (Situated right next to MSU's campus it has some of the best pizza in town! You can get slices of pizza for lunch that are massive for $5)

-MAP Brewing (Cool lodge feel overlooking Bozeman Pond and the Bridgers with delicious food)

-Mountains Walking Brewery (Hipster vibes with a large rotating selection of beers, beer slushies and varying food specials)

Big Sky Resort

50 Big Sky Resort Rd, Big Sky, MT 59716, USA
(800) 548-4486

There's golfing, hiking, mountain biking and scenic tours that can take you to the top of Lone Peak and much more! Big Sky is one of Emily's favorite places because of the skiing and one of the reasons she's stuck around Montana so long.

Hyalite Canyon and Reservoir

Bozeman, MT 59718, USA

Gorgeous drive to a reservoir nestled in the mountains of Gallatin National Forest. It's about a 30 minute drive south of Bozeman. Take a stroll on the shoreline trail or go for a short, accessible hike on the paved Palisades Falls tail. They are beautiful!
