Our love story
Their story began with a swipe right in October 2020. Though Michael called Austin home and Emily resided in San Antonio, fate intervened with a first date at the charming Gristmill in Gruene, a perfect halfway point. Little did they know that this meeting would be the first chapter of their love story. Weekends soon became dedicated to journeys between Austin and San Antonio, filled with dates and the blossoming of their connection. Over the past four years, their relationship has deepened, revealing how beautifully they complement each other. Together, they cherish travels, friendly competition on the golf course, cozy board game nights, and the joy of time spent with their dearest friends and family.

How did you get engaged?
The romance came full circle on November 8, 2024, when Michael took Emily back to Gruene, Texas. Their first date spot, the Gristmill, was their initial stop before a walk down to the river. In the perfect setting (expertly chosen with a little help from their friend Chirag, who was secretly photographing the moment), Michael got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him!
What's your favorite shared memory so far?
Emily: Nothing beats traveling with Michael. From familiar trips back to Colorado to the excitement of discovering places like Belgium, those shared adventures are my most treasured memories. There's something so special about experiencing new things together, always filled with laughter and moments we'll never forget.
