The beautiful Pen Ryn Estate is located along the Delaware River just north of Philadelphia. In the late 1700s, it was the home of the Bickley Family, wealthy shipping merchants from Penryn, England who supported the British during the American Revolution. It was a place where the city's elite, including Benjamin Franklin, found tranquility away from the bustle of the city. Being on the wrong side of history, the Bickley Family eventually moved and sold the estate. The new owners were the Drexel Family, who then married into the Wharton Family, using it as their country estate.

Our wedding will be held on the front lawn overlooking the recreational area of the Delaware River. The cocktail hour will be in the front hall, living room, and library of the mansion, each with high ceilings and large fireplaces. During renovations, the hardwoods were pulled up in the parlor surprising all with the original mosaic tile floor. The bar area today is in the family dining room with the beautiful built-in woodwork of the time period. The reception will be held in the ballroom, a space added to the building where the Drexels and Whartons once had their gardens.
