You may already know our story but as it all started a while back, 2014 to be precise (yes nearly 10 years ago! ) we will give you a little recap.
Brandon and I were actually set up by some friends, with somehow the first day we could meet face to face being Halloween (of all dates). The plan was to go to a friends house party then out after. I was very conscious of not doing the whole “sexy” Halloween costume thing for a first date, so I went as Saw 😂, with Brandon having other ideas and turning up as Maverick from Top Gun. In his words he wanted to “give himself a chance”, where as mine were more along the lines of “that’s not a Halloween costume!” - however it did seem to break the ice a bit. Despite the costumes we did just seem to click, neither of us shy so the conversation flowed and we just bounced off each other from the get go….I don’t think much has changed. We still joke about never having had that awkward pause where no one knows what to say, and at this stage I’ll be very shocked if it ever happens.
After that night we went on a few date, bonding over music and a shared sense of humour. B teasing me on the lack of films I’d watched, and me teasing him for the lack of British sayings that he knows and his mispronunciation of words. A memorable example being his choice to pronounce ‘mangetout’ as ‘mange-e-tout’ as we were cooking a stir fry one time, said in his broad Mancunian accent just added to the humour of it .
Not long after meeting B he wormed his way into my house share, we spent 3 and half years there (somehow getting away with the agents not finding out) and then eventually we got our own place.
Skipping a few years so as not to go on for too long … In March of 2021 we were joined by our beautiful daughter Brooke Belle Fletcher, who unsurprisingly has turned out to be just as crazy as the two of us, but also super kind and sweet 🤍.
After 8 and a half years together … not that I was counting… B decided to pop the question on a family cruise in the Med, but I have since heard that the plan didn’t go as smooth sailing as it seemed. That pun genuinely wasn’t intended but I’ll go with it …
I am sure B may touch on this on his speech so I won’t go into too much detail but anyway we’re now here, wedding booked, planning underway and very excited for you all to (hopefully) be joining us on our special day ☺️.
