Camp with Us!

Camping NEED TO KNOW

Camp Wilkerson is over 200 acres of green. We will be surrounded by creeks, rivers, ferns, and fields. There are plenty of hiking trails to choose from.

While Harrison and Emily love being outside and in the forest, we want you to be able to make an informed decision on whether or not to camp with us!

It will be April in the Pacific Northwest, so rain will probably be part of your experience. The camp sites are dirt, so it may get muddy quickly. Please make sure you have waterproof shoes and adequate clothing for the weather. April is not super warm quite yet, with the highs being around 60 degrees and lows being around 40 degrees. You will need lots of blankets and layers for sleeping! Adirondack shelters will be good for wind if that is something you are worried about!

We will be in the woods, so wild animals (deer, raccoons, possibly coyotes) will also be a part of your stay! You will need to store your food in a locked car or at least 50 ft from your camp at night unless you want an.. immersive experience for the lack of a better phrase. Cougars are around, but don't usually bother humans.

There may not be any cell service.

Packing List

-tent if staying in camp site (limit 1 tent per site), sleeping bags to withstand 40 degrees, blankets, rain jackets, umbrellas, jackery and portable phone charger (no electricity at tent and adirondack sites), fire starter, lighters and matches, whatever else will keep you comfortable for two nights

Food for breakfast and lunch Saturday, breakfast on Sunday, snacks, any preferred beverages

Adirondack Etiquette/Needs

Picture of Adirondack Etiquette/Needs

-DO NOT nail any tarps or curtains onto adirondacks -you MAY use rope and tie a tarp or curtain off, just no nails, screws, anything that will damage shelter -no smoking inside shelters (cannabis included please)

-the bunks are solid wood, but for extra comfort you may want a sleeping pad/extra blanket for padding. They can fit a very small tent underneath, but tying off a tarp will do the trick at keeping you dry. These sites are extremely private.

These are open face shelters, please pack accordingly. The nearest store that provides blankets and sweatshirts is 45 minutes away.
