Our Wedding

Vincent and I met (officially) when we both went on a mission trip to Puerto Rico in 2022. This was the first spring break mission trip for students at Wake Forest, where I was in college! He had just moved back to NC that fall (2021), and was about to start working for the church.

The college students went to Puerto Rico again in 2023, and Vinny and I were both on the trip! I had to fly in a few days late, and Vincent drove to pick me up from the airport at 1 AM (with another guy staff leader). We had several great conversations, and I remember thinking, "wow! Vinny is such a great friend!"

In 2024, I was about to graduate from Wake and had already committed to working at the same church as Vinny (where we both attend - Two Cities Church in Winston). Once again, we ended up in Puerto Rico for spring break. We had great conversations and Vinny would say we made lots of eye contact... a repeated occurrence that gave him the courage to ask me out two weeks later!

He asked me to go on a walk the next day, and I genuinely thought it was just a normal walk!! Little did I know, he was going to ask me to go on a date! We went to get smoothies a week later, and I thought Vincent was the most kind and thoughtful guy I had ever met. He asked me so many great questions, and I could tell he was so excited to get to know me better-he made me feel so special! The rest was history.

The wedding is in Burlington, NC - this is approximately an hour from the Raleigh Airport (RDU) or 30 minutes from the Greensboro Airport (PTI). Either is a great option, but it’s more likely to be cost effective to fly into Raleigh.
