For those of our loved ones who haven’t heard this story at least once…. Our love story starts on May 13th, 2012 with the birth of our niece Laila. While Emily was sitting in the hospital waiting room anxiously awaiting the arrival of her god daughter, in walked Ryan. Our friend Kasi had asked Ryan to take the drive with her to the hospital and he ended up sticking around the whole day. To this day we hear about “the sparks shooting across the waiting room”. After that day, the first time that we hung out was during Emily’s prom weekend at Wildwood. We stayed on the beach talking one night until the sun came up. After that, we spent a couple of weeks getting to know one another, but ended up going our separate ways.

It wasn’t until two years later that Ryan reached out to Emily. He said he hadn’t stopped thinking about her and wanted to see how she was and if she would be interested in going out sometime. It turned out, Emily hadn’t stopped thinking about Ryan either so of course she said “yes!”. After spending a couple of months together, we made it “official” on October 9, 2014.

We guess you could say the rest is history. Since then, we’ve created quite the life together with our favorite boy in the world, Sawyer. We’ve traveled, moved in together in October of 2019, started our careers, made a lot of amazing friends, and a lot of beautiful memories.

On June 15, 2021 Ryan took Emily back to that beach in Wildwood from all those years ago and as we sat under the stars, Ryan proposed. Ryan would say that it was the only time in history that it didn’t take Emily forever to make up her mind about something, haha. It was a very clear “yes”! And now, here we are on our wedding day. 12 years after we first met and on our 10 year anniversary. All of you are such a vital part in our story and we are thrilled to be surrounded by you all on what will be the start of such a new and exciting chapter.
