We met at a birthday party of a mutual friend back in 2014. Jonathan had been staring at me practically all night long which I chalked up to either shyness or creepiness. Towards the end of the party we decided as a group to play Hide & Seek in the dark so after picking a seeker everyone scattered. I thought my best bet was to hide in the darkest room so I picked the laundry room & Jonathan followed me in. I had sat myself between a wall and a basket full of clothes to be out of sight when Jonathan walks in & decides to climb into the basket to shoot me some pretty cheesy pick up lines. While he was funny & sweet his lines just didn’t hit the way he thought they would have so after the party we split ways. Over the years multiple people on a few different occasions tried to introduce us to each other; he always played it cool though, never bringing up the pick up lines. Eventually we ended up becoming friends on social media platforms bc of an ex girlfriend of his that I was very close to. Once they parted ways & we started hanging out more, we both realized that this relationship we were building was on a completely different level of understanding which was something neither of us had ever experienced. Upon realizing I had feelings for another person, I made the decision to leave my abusive ex & started on the track of healthy healing. Jonathan being there for me every step of the way has been all the difference to me❤️ He quite literally saved me & I’m overjoyed to be his future wife!
