UPDATE:

Boy, COVID-19 added a HUGE chapter to our story. When the world was beginning to shift, Jake & I looked at each other and realized what was most important. We had an intimate ceremony, on May 23rd, 2020. In front of 25 immediate family members and God, we professed our love and vows. We had to grief the loss of our "dream wedding" and now realized a new dream, celebrating BIG with all of you. We love you all and cannot wait to ring in 2022!

Our love story began in Lenexa, KS back in 2013. We both attended Westside Family Church and got to know each other through the youth group on Wednesday nights. Some flirtatious banter was exchanged back and forth for weeks, when finally after one Sunday service phone numbers were swapped. A few more weeks later and we had our first date, Lansing High homecoming. After discovering a mutual love of God, family, and dancing, the rest is history! 6 years' worth of memories later, our iPhones are all out of storage! Five of those six years have been spent miles apart and countless hours on FaceTime. In these years God has prepared our hearts with intentionality, grace, and patience. About a year and a half ago at the end of a Thanksgiving tradition, a scavenger hunt, Jake proposed marriage! The answer? Well, we'll leave you to guess ;) We can't wait for this exciting new chapter (and maybe a cheaper phone bill) to begin!
