Some love stories take years to unfold—Emily and John’s began when they were kids growing up in Lorain, Ohio. They both attended St. Peter’s Lorain and later Elyria Catholic High School, where they became part of the same close-knit group of friends. That bond has lasted a lifetime, and many of those same friends will be standing by their sides as they say "I do."Though they had always been friends, their connection deepened in high school. Emily was John’s senior year cheerleader, and from that point on, their friendship only grew stronger. During college, life took them in different directions, but no matter what, they always found their way back to each other. After years of friendship—and a little back and forth—they finally realized what had been there all along. At 28, their relationship became something more, proving that timing is everything. Looking back, it feels like they were always connected— their own version of the invisible string theory.Beyond their love for each other, Emily and John share a love for adventure. Whether it’s a quick road trip to Amish Country or a dream vacation across the ocean to Italy, they cherish every experience together. Another big part of their journey has been I’m From Cleveland, the business John co-founded at just 16 years old. Emily has been part of the company from the very beginning—first as his biggest supporter and later officially joining the team in 2018. Their love for Cleveland is woven into their story, which is why choosing a downtown venue with beautiful city views felt so meaningful for their wedding day.From childhood friends to life partners, Emily and John’s story has been years in the making—and now, they can’t wait to start this next chapter together.
