Our story began at the University of New Hampshire in 2015. We both spent the day moving into our dorm rooms in Christensen Hall, anxiously awaiting the start of our college experiences. Only living a floor apart, it was only a matter of time before we would meet each other. As it so happened, on the first night of college, some of our mutual friends got together for a freshman dorm party. It was there we first met, and little did we know where the rest of our college journey would take us.

Our time at UNH was full of amazing memories. As the years went by, so many times were shared together. From Bachelor Mondays to Movie Thursdays, UNH Tailgates, and Trivia Nights, we became best friends. This friendship lasted for years, something very important to both of us. And we realized it could be so much more.

In March of our junior year, we went on our first date at the Red Hook Brewery in Portsmouth. We had known each other for so long, so our relationship quickly fell into place. We had grown together, still as best friends - exactly what we wanted to be.

Our relationship brought us close together as we both began our teaching careers during the peak of the pandemic. We shared an apartment in Dover, spending just about all our days together. We worked through challenging times, but it brought us closer together, ready to endure whatever the world had in store for us.

On a beautiful spring evening in May 2023, Brett surprised Emily with an overnight trip to one of their favorite places: Downtown Portsmouth. They went for a walk around town and through the Prescott Park Gardens at sunset. It was there he proposed with a beautiful ring! To no one’s surprise - she said yes!

Together, we are each other’s best friends, and we cannot wait to get married and celebrate with all our family and friends in the Summer of 2024!
