June of 2019 Brian and Emily matched on Bubble, a Millennial dating app that let's the ladies "swipe" first. They didn't talk on the app long before meeting at Flipside on 12 South for BOGO Mimosas and Bloody Marys.

They connected instantly but Emily walked away and called her girlfriend and said "OMG this guy could absolutely be my best friend...". They went on one more date and suddenly.... Emily friend-zoned Brian. (Apparently he seemed like "too much of a good guy")

They stayed in touch and after Emily came to her senses, they decided to meet up at Once Upon A Time in France in February of 2020. They dined and chatted and laughed util the restaurant kicked them out and immediately made plans to meet up again.

That next weekend, the tornados of East Nashville hit a mile from Brian's house. The week after that, the very first pandemic lockdown began. But even a global pandemic couldn't stop them from falling in love. Their friendship quickly evolved into a romantic relationship and the isolation of the pandemic only fortified their relationship.

Brian said "I love you" first (after a little too much bourbon on Christmas Eve ) and in 2021 they decided to start their future together moving in together to a little house in Donelson, TN with a big back yard for Emily's dog, Scout. They adopted a dog for Scout in 2022 - a Boxer named Finnegan. Scout and Finnegan are best pals!

But the house wasn't full enough. In February of 2023 they found out rather unexpectedly that Emily was pregnant. The first thing Brian said after the doctor confirmed it was ".... I JUST bought your ring!..." He proposed at the French restaurant over Easter weekend that year and little Grady Theodore was born on October 17th. Now they were a perfect little family of 5.

Emily (the obvious author of this story here) cannot wait to share a last name with her favorite men in her entire world, the Mr. O'Sheas on November 1st, 2024.
