Emily's version of our story

Nathan and I have known each other since we were little. We will skip the awkward stages of our relationship in middle and high school (even though they were entertaining) to get to the start of the relationship we have today.

Nathan and I have always been friends. I decided to invite him out with my friends, Carissa and Caidin to celebrate New Years. I might have had a little too much to drink and kept telling Nathan the whole night that he was not allowed to kiss me at midnight. Nathan, being respectful, did not. We decided to leave and head home, but as soon as we got into the car I asked "Why didn't you kiss me at midnight?”

Poor guy was so confused, so I told him he could kiss me and that's where it all started.

Since then, we started talking and he eventually asked me out. From there, we started having a fun, loving, and adventurous relationship while doing long distance. I love his willingness to pick up new hobbies, his hard work, and outgoing personality. I'm excited to finally be able to live in the same area as each other and celebrate our marriage with our friends and family.

Nathan's Version of Our Story

Where do I begin? Emily and I have always been good friends growing up. Emily doesn’t like to talk about it, but we dated for a short time freshmen year of high school. After that we went different ways but stayed friends. While we were both away at college, we would talk but nothing serious.

Emily invited me out new years with our mutual friends, Carissa and Caiden. We went to Cedarville (fancy I know) and I was nervous because I wanted to make my intentions known, but Emily made it very clear that we were just friends. Midnight came and as much as I wanted to kiss her, I did not, and she got upset I didn't attempt to make a move. I was very confused, to be honest, but we did finally have our first kiss that night, and, if you are reading this, the rest is history.

Long story short, never be afraid to take chances and be persistent for what you want in life, because you never know what the future may hold.
