Chris and I met way back in 2010 when we both attended Scottsdale Christian Academy as high school students. However, we were just merely acquaintances back then! Chris graduated early to start his college golf career at Georgia Tech in early 2018 and I moved to San Diego to attend Point Loma and live it up by the beach while I could! Chris decided to stay in Georgia and continue pursuing his professional golf career, while I ended up moving back to Phoenix. Fast forward to 10 years after we first met, it was now 2020 when we reconnected after a group of us from SCA went out one night. I hadn’t seen Chris in years but I remember thinking how handsome he was after all this time had passed! ;) Chris ever impressed by my stellar bowling skills (jokes!) and I decided to keep in touch for a while before going on our first “official” date the following year in 2021. Living in different states made us initially hesitant to fully commit to dating until late summer of 2022. We went out again (I thought Chris wanted one last closure dinner LOL) but turns out we decided to take the plunge into a long distance relationship! The rest is history… We made long distance work by traveling to see each other as often as my teaching schedule and his golf schedule would allow. We traveled all over the United States together with trips to Georgia, Arizona, California, Texas, North and South Carolina, Utah and more. I even traveled with Chris in his RV during my summer break and his busy tournament season and, believe it or not, we survived to tell the tale! We felt at home with each other’s families - both sides thrilled to welcome a new person to love! Chris completely surprised me when he proposed on August 29th, 2023 with a scrapbook of all the pictures from our first year of dating. We soon set a wedding date and eagerly look forward to celebrating our love with all our friends and family!
