Once upon a time, in a world filled with swiping, two unlikely souls collided. Pramuk, a boy from California, found himself in Boston — a city of history, clam chowder, and the prettiest girl he’d ever meet. Emily, a Cincinnati girl and Oracle’s best sales woman, living her best life in Beantown, was unknowingly about to swipe right on her future fiancé. The first spark? Bumble. Pramuk, new to the city and eager to make connections (or at least find good food recommendations), swiped right on Emily. Emily had been in Boston for too long and was planning to move to New York City in two short months. She decided to go on one last bumble date before she left, swiped back, and just like that, the stage was set for their first date. He said he would plan the first date, but he got distracted golfing so never made a reservation (shocking). And when he finally did? Of course, everything was booked. Emily, being the practical and resourceful woman she is, swooped in and saved the day by taking charge. The date went so well she didn't want it to end, so she took him to her favorite martini bar, a place they’d cherish forever. Flash forward a month, and Pramuk was about to leave for California for the summer and she decided to stay in Boston to see what would happen. He invited Emily to come visit him, meet his family, and naturally, start their California adventure with bottomless mimosas. After what felt like a very healthy amount of champagne, Pramuk, fueled by liquid courage, asked Emily to be his girlfriend. (Spoiler: She said yes.) Soon after, Emily’s family came to Boston for a visit, and Pramuk got his first introduction to the legendary Wingo women — a group whose legendary status Emily had only hinted at. Despite being slightly intimidated (okay, very intimidated), Pramuk found himself quickly integrating into the Wingo clan. Before long, Emily and Pramuk became honorary roommates at each other’s houses. They spent more time together than they could count, forming a bond that was impossible to ignore. After surviving a year of going back and forth from Somerville to the North End they decided that it was time to make things official: they were sick of “roommates” (this was ChatGPT, we loved our roommates &lt;3) and wanted to live together for real. Enter Charlestown, their new home for the next two years. It was the best city in the world, not just because of the stunning views or Tatte but because it was home to their closest friends and community. As “townies,” they settled into their lives, and it felt like they were finally exactly where they were meant to be. But all good things come to an end, and in 2024, their time in Boston was winding down. They began planning a cross-country move to California, where family, sunshine, and possibly more mimosas awaited. Little did Emily know, Pramuk had been working tirelessly behind the scenes to design the perfect engagement ring. On July 13, 2024, he had a grand plan to propose on Spectacle Island — a scenic converted trash dump that would be perfect. Although perfect, there were some hiccups along the way. First came the rain. Then, a bike accident (don’t ask). Then even more rain. As they raced to find shelter on the island, Pramuk was determined to ask the big question. No matter how many times he was met with rejected attempts to get Emily to a "romantic spot" (she was not in the mood for trekking through puddles) he finally found the words that would get Emily into the right place "come check out this huge snail". It was by this snail that Emily heard those fateful words: Will you marry me? Emily, of course, said "you’re lying," twenty times, because that's exactly what you say when you're completely caught off guard and soaking wet. But then, after a dramatic pause, she said yes. And that’s how we ended up here — a little muddy, but totally in love. From tacos to mimosas to an unforgettable proposal, every moment has been a perfect adventure. Our venue is super accessible from San Diego (SAN), Orange County (SNA), and LA (LAX)! We recommend renting a car or arranging transportation from one of those airports. Another option we absolutely love is the Amtrak. The SurfLiner runs from LA all the way to San Diego with a stop right in the heart of Oceanside.

Walk the shoreline in Oceanside! There is a beautiful path down the shore where you have the Pacific on one side and cute houses to look at on the other.
