Our Story

Jacob Andres Zamora

Jacob Andres Zamora was born in Provo, Utah on January 16th, 1992. His family currently lives in Flower Mound, Texas. From a young age Jacob loved playing golf. His first toy was a plastic putter that he brought everywhere with him. He likes to pretend he is Tiger Woods even today, which is why he loves wearing polos! Golf helps Jacob release his anger and frustrations because it requires such little physical exertion as well as relaxes him by the sight of freshly cut grass.In High School, Jacob participated in marching band, choir, and dance team. He was the only male dance member on his high school team and won multiple scholarships for his participation and sparkling personality on stage.Jacob attends Brigham Young University, where he and Emily met. He has changed his major 3 times, and is currently studying Pre-Civil War History, with a minor in contemporary dance. Jacob hopes to graduate in April and accept a high school teaching position working part time as a dance instructor. *As written by Emily

Emily Christiania Frame

Pronounced: Emily Chris-tee-ah-KNEE-ah Phraim.Emily's life began on a humble little farm in the little town on Winchestertonfieldville, Iowa on July 27th, 1994. She learned the definition of hard work by having to take care of her 8 younger siblings on top of her farm duties with all the cows. She didn't consider it hard work being around the cows because she would be able to drink all the milk she could handle. It is no surprise that to this day Emily Loves milk and drinks multiple gallons each week. Now she has the luxury of drinking chilled milk.She quickly grew out of her farm days and sought to explore the world. At the young age of 14 she moved out of the house to explore the Midwest United States in the exciting state of Michigan. In high school Emily played in ice hockey, basketball, and soccer. She led her team to the state championships in all three sports. She received offers from colleges all around the country, but she turned them all down to take a full time position working in a local animal shelter to help find homes for all the stray kittens. Emily currently studies at Brigham Young University and plans on graduating in April with a master's degree in Latin American Studies. She is waiting for hear back from a University in Colombia where she will further her studies.* As written by Jacob

The Real Story

Jacob Andres Zamora was born in Provo, Utah on April 18th, 1992. His family does currently live in Flower Mound, Texas. Jacob is the fourth of five boys in his family, and the First to be married! He loves soccer and wouldn't have been CAUGHT DEAD in marching band, dance, or choir in high school (little did he know...). He is studying electrical engineering at Brigham Young University and will graduate this coming April. He hopes to attend the University of Michigan for graduate school.Emily Christiania (Chris-tee-ah-nuh) Frame was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 24th, 1994. Her dad and step-mom currently live in Ankeny, Iowa and her mother lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. Emily is the only girl, the second youngest with 3 brothers. Unlike Jacob, Emily was the marching band commander for her high school, participated in show choir, concert choir, musicals, as well as soccer, tennis and volleyball. Emily really does love milk and drinks enough for the both of them! She is studying Food Science at Brigham Young University and will graduate in April.

Our story began Fall semester of 2013. Jacob had recently returned from his LDS mission to the Dominican Republic in late June and was excited to return to BYU and live with his brothers in Provo. Emily was returning to Provo for her sophomore year at BYU and was excited to be moving into off-campus housing. She too would be close to her brother, living in the same apartment complex.As fate would have it, they were in the same church ward boundaries! Jacob saw Emily for the first time at church. It was difficult to get close to her considering she was always with her older brother, and Jacob was a little nervous to approach her.Conveniently, or luckily, or serendipitously, or whatever you wish to call it; Emily had a class with Jacob's older brother AND Jacob was studying the same major as Emily's older brother at BYU. With the help and encouragement of both brothers, Jacob was ready to take Emily out on a date.After about two months of dating, playing hard to get, awkward exchanges, and late night texting conversations, they made their relationship officially boyfriend and girlfriend on January 23rd (1-23).Many other dates and adventures came as they dated through 2014 and into 2015. Tandem biking, playing with puppies , attending all of the college sporting events, Sunday afternoon picnics, winning cook-offs and costume contests, canoeing, playing intramural soccer, taking classes together, and roadtripping to San Diego and Iowa just to name a few =)After all these adventures, memories and a over a year of dating, Jacob decided it was time to ask the Big question. On March 21 (3-21) He surprised her, proposing after a beautiful scenic hot air balloon ride in Park City, UT floating over the mountains, and through the valley. Jacob and Emily are anxious to continue their story on August 7, 2015 as they are sealed as a family for time and all eternity in the Nauvoo temple!
