Emily and Seth grew up 7 houses down from each other their entire upbringing. They’d often ride bikes or play games together with all the other neighborhood kids. They went to the same elementary school, same middle school, same high school, and even ended up going to the same college. From the time they were 4 years old, all the way to the end of high school, they were no more than a few yards away. Then came college. They lived in the same apartment complex for a short period of time, and eventually Seth moved into a house just down the street. Yet again, only a few yards away. College is where they really became close. They started hanging out with the same group of friends every weekend at UIndy, and the two of them ended up becoming pretty close. They stayed close friends their entire college careers. When Seth graduated, he packed up and headed to Missouri for a job offer. Two kids who had been separated by no more than a few yards their entire lives were now hundreds of miles away. Despite having multiple opportunities, and some persuading from their families (lol) to turn their friendship into something more when they lived close, God had a different plan for them. As you know, His timing is never wrong. Emily and Seth finally started dating during her senior year of college, while Seth lived all the way in Missouri. They did long distance for a little over a year and a half. Distance was difficult at times, as it was something neither of them had ever had to do before, but both of them were determined to make it work! It consisted of a lot of patience, a lot of driving, and a lot of face time calls. Those two were traveling to each other every chance they had. They both loved Missouri. It was a blessing that brought them many new friends that they now consider family, and a good job that supported Seth's lifestyle and allowed him to build his first home. Despite the love they both had for Missouri, Seth decided after 2.5 years it was time to move back to Indiana, closer to family and closer to Emily. It is safe to say they have been inseparable ever since! A short couple months after he moved back he got down on one knee and popped the question. Of course the answer was an obvious YES! Who knew the two little neighbor kids would end up spending a lifetime together. Growing up and passing each other in the hallways at school, never knowing they would end up marrying each other. God really does work in mysterious ways :)
Emily and Seth are so excited to continue to build their lives together, and see what else God has in store in continuing their love story.
