<p>Louie, his family, and my family had all told me that there was a surprise party for Louie's dad in Princeton on May 28 about a month beforehand. Louie and I had decided that before the party, we would walk around Princeton a little bit and walk through the gardens throughout the University campus. As we were walking, Louie saw a sign for Prospect Garden and told me he had heard about it and really wanted to look through. We both noticed it was pretty empty but still went through it. It was a beautiful garden in a circular shape with a fountain in the center. We walked through that circle to the edge where Louie started telling me that he was excited to spend the rest of his life with me. In my head, I was thinking that he had "The Question" to ask me still, and I even started to say, "Well, you need to ask me a question first." I didn't even get halfway through that sentence when Louie got down on one knee and picked up a blue box from inside (yes, inside!) the flowers! He asked me to marry him; I was thrilled and said YES! Little did I know, his sister Kristina was hiding nearby so she could take plenty of pictures of us during this special time in our lives. She even asked everyone in the garden to get up from that circular floral area so that we had an empty garden for Louie to pop the question! It would not have been the same without her. I'm so excited to begin planning such a special day, and to start planning Louie's and my life together! </p>
