Travel & Flights

What airport should I fly into?

Fly into Honolulu International Airport (HNL) on Oahu. This is the main airport serving the island.

How far in advance should I book my flight?

We recommend booking 2-3 months in advance for the best prices and seat selection. Hawaii flights can fill up quickly, especially during peak seasons.

What's the best time to arrive and depart?

We suggest arriving at least 1-2 days before the wedding to adjust to the time difference and enjoy the island. Many guests find a 5-7 day trip ideal.

Accommodations

Where should I stay?

We recommend staying in either Weikiki or on the North Shore.

Option 1: Waikiki Area

Best for: Beach lovers, dining variety, nightlife, shopping, first-time Hawaii visitors

Pros: Amazing beaches, tons of restaurants and activities, vibrant atmosphere, shuttle transportation to wedding venue available

Cons: More crowded, touristy, about 45-minute drive to venue (if driving yourself)

Option 2: North Shore

Best for: Laid-back vibe, surfers, nature lovers, those wanting a quieter experience

Pros: Close to wedding venue, authentic local feel, famous surf spots, less crowded beaches

Cons: Fewer restaurant options, quieter nightlife, less convenient for other island activities

Are you providing a hotel room block?

No, we are not arranging group accommodations. Each guest is responsible for booking their own lodging. This gives you flexibility to choose accommodations that fit your budget and preferences.

What type of accommodations do you recommend?

We highly recommend booking a condo or vacation rental with a kitchen! Head to our travel page for recommended websites.

Wedding Day

What is the dress code?

Come dressed in your Hawaiian best, but please no gaudy Hawaiian hula shirts. Tommy Bahama has some great options that fits the style. It's going to be HOT so please be comfortable. Linen fabric is HIGHLY recommended.
