FAQ

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, OTHER THAN THOSE LISTED BELOW, PLEASE CONTACT EMILY OR STEVE.

WHEN WILL THE FUTURE MR. & MRS. SIMOES BE ARRIVING? WHAT DATES SHOULD I BOOK?

We will be arriving Monday, October 21st, and checking out Sunday, October 27th. The room block is secured from October 21st-October 28th. The resort requires a minimum of a 3-night stay; however, you are welcome to stay as long as you'd like! Please speak with our travel agent for options if you'd like to extend your stay outside of these dates. Feel free to arrive/depart any time within those dates.

If your stay will be short, it's recommended that you arrive early Wednesday, October 23rd and wait until Saturday, October 26th to depart.

WHICH AIRLINE SHOULD I BOOK WITH?

This is completely up to you!
JetBlue & Delta are very common when flying to the Dominican Republic. October 2024 flights should be available, keep checking and when you find a good deal book!
*If you purchase your flight for a certain price and for some reason they decrease (this happens frequently) JetBlue should be able to reimburse you and transfer the credit to what's called Travel bank! You will be able to use the credit for future travel!

WHAT DOCUMENTATION DO I NEED TO ENTER/LEAVE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC?

TO ENTER

-Passport

-E-ticket.

All Passengers entering or leaving the Dominican Republic must complete a free electronic entry and exit form, which combines the Traveler's Health Affidavit, Customs Declaration and International Embarkation/Disembarkation forms.

CAN I BOOK OUTSIDE OF THE ROOM BLOCK?

What is most important to us is that you are able to make it, however you choose to book!

keep in mind, our room block contains pre-negotiated pricing that is typically lower than advertised rates. Booking through Patty & Kristen at Unique Romance Travel ensures that your booking is stress free, with amazing service and flexible payment options.

In the unlikely event that you come across lower pricing for comparable room categories, please contact the travel agents to discuss price matching! For stress-free planning, leave the travel planning to the travel pros!

WHERE WILL THE WEDDING TAKE PLACE?

We chose an off-resort venue, Kukua Beach Club! We fell in love with this venue and know you will too!

WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED TO/FROM THE WEDDING?

An air-conditioned coach bus will be available to transport guests from the Dreams Onyx resort to the venue. Guests should meet the driver in the lobby of Dreams Onyx by TBD.

*Two shuttle buses will be provided to transport guest back to the resort.
Be prepared to party back at the resort!

CAN I BRING A DATE?

There is a limit on how many guests our venue can accommodate. Depending on where we are in the planning process, we may or may not be able to accommodate more guests. That being said, you can bring whomever you'd like with you to party with us at the resort!

DRESS CODE: WHAT IS BEACH SEMI-FORMAL?

Brides.com has a great explanation; Beach Semi-Formal; For women, a dress or formal jumpsuit work for a semi-formal beach affair. Feel free to include prints, avoiding anything too loud or any style that might clash with the venue. If you choose to wear a beachy dress, specifically, consider it in either tea-length or maxi to avoid looking too casual. What's more, dressy sandals, heels, and wedges are acceptable footwear options.

For men, while a jacket isn’t required, a breathable sport coat or unique blazer is a fun addition. Feel free to include prints, avoiding anything too loud as well. Shoes can be a little more casual, but they still need to be closed-toe, such as a loafer or deck shoe. Again, shorts and sandals are not permitted for men.

WILL THE CEREMONY TAKE PLACE ON THE BEACH?

Yes and no. We will be getting married on the beach, under a palapa (beautiful, covered gazebo type structure) right on the beach.

WE WILL ADD MORE INFORMATION AS WE GET CLOSER TO THE WEDDING DAY, SO BE SURE TO CHECK BACK (:
