Fernando and I met in Tacna, Peru, where I was a volunteer with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. We started dating on March 19, 2016, and after several months maintained a long distance relationship for over 7 years. Our love story, while unconventional, is uniquely special. Throughout our time dating, we learned the importance of communication, spending quality time together (even via Skype or Duo), and traveling together. We have been fortunate to experience many adventures that push us out of our comfort zone, and cannot wait for our lifetime full of travel, dance, and love.

Because of immigration timelines, we were married on January 12, 2024 civilly. We will be celebrating the sacrament of marriage in October, and we are both excited to be able to celebrate our love and life together with you all in October!
