Our Wedding

Andrew and Emily’s story begins during the COVID pandemic on the Multisystem Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at AdventHealth Orlando. Emily moved back to Orlando after graduating college and started her first nursing job on the unit in July 2021. She was assigned a preceptor who would help orient her to the unit and train her during her graduate nursing program. That preceptor… was Andrew. During the three month training program, Emily grew in her nursing skills while also getting to know more about Andrew. They became friends pretty quickly and bonded over Chick fil A dinners after their shifts ended. It wasn’t long after the training program finished that Andrew and Emily realized that they were wanting to be more than just friends. Their first date on November 22, 2021 was at a sushi restaurant near the hospital they met at. There was a Santa festival going on that night which made the night even more memorable since there were hundreds of Santa Claus’s walking by while the two of them ate their dinner. Time went on, and Andrew knew by the end of 2022 that Emily would be his future bride. He purchased a ring and kept it in his backpack that he took everywhere with him, including to the hospital and on multiple trips. The two of them traveled with that backpack to Montana, Colorado, and Alaska without Emily knowing a ring was hidden inside of it. On July 22, 2024, Andrew asked Emily to marry him at Kraft Azalea Park in Winter Park, Florida. She said yes, of course! Now they are continuing to write their story together as they get ready to become husband and wife.

We have a hotel block held for our guests at a reduced cost ($219/night). You must book your stay for Friday and Saturday nights to participate in the hotel block pricing. If you are looking to arrive before Friday, you can book your stay to start as early as Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
