First hangout in La Jolla — Emily was 17 and wasn’t looking for anything serious, just a friend to avoid third-wheeling at a bonfire. She borrowed her bestie’s Tinder, found Lance’s Instagram in his bio, and slid into his DMs. Lance, who was 18 at the time, showed up with a blanket, snapped photos for her Instagram, and instantly clicked with the group—as if he’d always been part of it. April–May 2023 — Becoming Besties- They did all the classic bestie things—shopping trips, late-night drives, and endless hangouts. It didn’t take long for the friendship to turn into feelings

May 12, 2023 — From Friends to Fling- On May 12, Lance asked Emily to officially be his girlfriend, and their fun friendship turned into a sweet summer fling.

June–July 2023 — Summer Shenanigans- Lance helped Emily with her animals and she kept him fed with free sandwiches from her job at the time. Beach days, more late nights, and lots of laughs made it a summer to remember.

August 2023 — Long-Distance Begins- Emily moved to Utah for school, and Lance sent flowers to Emily’s dorm, and after staying up too late on FaceTime, she’d DoorDash him a Red Bull for work the next morning. They always found little ways to show they cared.

Fall 2023 — Miles of Memories- Lance visited Emily in Utah—and fell in love with the state, and even more with her. They squeezed in three states in four days, packed with adventures, laughs, and memories they’d never forget.

January 1, 2024 — Lance Moves to Utah- Following his heart (and Emily), Lance packed up and started the new year with a big move to Cedar City, Utah.

January – December 2024 Lance and Emily spent the year soaking up Utah’s beauty—chasing sunsets, exploring national parks, and making holiday trips back to California, the place where their story began.

October 15, 2024 — Moving in Together- They got their first apartment and started building a life side by side—filled with cozy nights, mountain views, and friends who feel like family.

May 10, 2025 — The Proposal- In the red desert rocks of Utah, Lance got down on one knee. Emily said yes to forever.

October 15th 2025 -Emily and Lance purchased their very first home together, laying down roots and starting their new family on their own at just 20 and 21—showcasing the heart, hustle, and drive of this power couple against the beautiful backdrop of Cedar City.
