Iconic bridge in Wilkes-Barre. Built from 1926-1929, the Market Street Bridge is one of the longest concrete bridges in Pennsylvania. The bridge consists of twelve arches, and each side of the bridge features a massive pylon, where an eagle statue perches on top. The eagles weigh 5,500 pounds, making them heavier than a fully-grown rhinoceros. The four statues stand in honor of fallen veterans of the First World War.

Ricketts Glen harbors the Glens Natural Area -- a National Natural Landmark. Hike the Falls Trail System to explore the glens, which boasts a series of wild, free-flowing waterfalls, each cascading through rock-strewn clefts in this ancient hillside.
The 94-foot Ganoga Falls is the highest of 22 named waterfalls. Old growth timber and diverse wildlife add to the beauty.
The 15,990-acre Hickory Run State Park, Carbon County, lies in the western foothills of the Pocono Mountains. This large park has more than 40 miles of hiking trails, three state park natural areas, and miles of trout streams.
