Bricktown, OKC

This is our favorite spot to visit in OKC. We will be getting married in Edmond, but there really isn't too much to do there. So if you would like to explore before or after the wedding, Bricktown is a great way to start. I have shared any potential food places, entertainment and where to stay. These are merely suggestions if you are interested and I would love if you do decide to do any of these please take pictures and share with us!

Hungry?
We normally go to The Old Spaghetti factory. The food is good and the prices are pretty decent and the decor is really fun. This is a great place to go with kids!

If we really want to get fancy (normally for anniversaries) we will go to the Melting Pot. The food is so good and the customer service has been absolutely incredible every time. It is very pricey so please keep that in mind. It is a great experience though and we love the fondue. Heck just go for the dessert!

There are so many things to do in Bricktown or at least nearby that we have not been able to do yet! Here are just a few things that you can do if visiting Bricktown.

Water Taxi

Bricktown has a riverwalk and there are water taxis that go along the river. It is about 40 to 45 minutes long and you can learn about different historical monuments and local landmarks. For a regular ticket, it currently costs 12 dollars.

You can purchase tickets online or at the ticket booth located

Michael Murphy's Dueling Piano Bar

This was super fun to see! You can sit down and have drinks while watching 3 piano players playing requested songs while having banter with each other and the audience. We went for Josh's birthday and they had him sit on the piano while they bantered and played songs!

Brickopolis Entertainment

This location is a little difficult to explain. It is essentially a three story arcade with outside activities, such as mini golf and Bungee Trampoline. There is also laser tag inside, which of course we had to do. There is also food, such as pizza, but we haven't tried it yet. It is extremely kid friendly and always busy.

Listen. The Mexican food in Oklahoma is lacking. So for my Californians, please do not go to a Mexican restaurant and expect Californian Mexican food. However, this is my favorite Mexican restaurant that I have found in all of Oklahoma, but again, it does not compare to California. It did, fortunately for Josh, stopped me from wanting Chipotle every time we went to OKC.

The restaurant is a little hispter and I had found it odd that they offer sweet and spicy popcorn. However, I can never stop eating the popcorn when I am there. I have never ordered anything except their birria tacos. They are so good that I don't want anything besides those tacos! Josh orders the steak Fajitas or the birria tacos. They also offer a flight of margaritas, which I really enjoyed. Happy hour is Monday-Friday 3-6 and you will probably find us there!

Fair warning! The parking lot is a dirt parking lot and very small.

This is the cutest botanical gardens and possibly the only one in OKC. Josh and I visited years ago on a random trip to the city and we spent forever just walking about and reading about the different plants. We actually took our engagement photos outside of the botanical gardens, because it extends outside of the buidling as well and is essentially a public park. To be able go inside, however, it is about 10 dollars per person.

It is 4 minutes away from Rev Mex and 3 minutes away from Bricktown
